Golf Programs & Tashua Staff
Tashua Glen is pleased to open for its first full season of operation in 2006. The course was very well received after opening in early August 2005. Under the direction of Bobby Brown, Director of Golf and PGA Professional, the staff will be working with golfers of all ages and abilities through a number of golf programs for 2006 season.
Full details about up-to-date activities can be found on our main Web site under the Today at Tashua link. Visit this for daily updates on course conditions, programs, and course specials.
Tashua Glen is pleased to be the first course in Connecticut recognized as a Family Course by the National Golf Course Owners Association.
Family Course Set-up
The length of many golf courses takes away some of the fun of learning to play golf. Many 18-hole courses measure 5,000 yards from the forward tees — still too long for kids and adult beginners. A Family Course set-up adds two additional tee locations (Yellow at 3,750 yards and Green at 2,200 yards) so the entire family can enjoy their round together.
The Pro Shop at Tashua is also stocked with a wide assortment of equipment and clothing for Junior golfers. In addition, the staff is specially trained in the 'kid-friendly' Personal Tee curriculum. Tashua's Bobby Brown is recognized as one of the top 50 Junior golf instructors in the Country.
